Michael F. Carroll has been licensed to practice law since May of 1995. He attended Northern Illinois University, following the Pre-Law program, with a Degree in Communication Studies and a Minor in Political Science. He attended John Marshall Law School, where he was a member of the Trial Advocacy Team at the American Bar Association National Criminal Justice Trial Competition. As a former police officer, Criminal/Traffic/DUI Defense was a natural start to his practice. Adding in Civil Litigation and Real Estate closings rounded out his general practice law office. Working his way from an associate in a criminal defense law firm, to a founding partner in a general practice firm, Mike Carroll now is a sole practitioner with his office in Orland Park, IL. He serves as the Administrative Hearing Officer for nine municipalities in three counties in Illinois. He also teaches an Administrative Hearing Officer Certification program for attorneys and law firms throughout the Chicagoland area. Mike Carroll served as the elected Vice-President of Orland School District 135 from 2013 until May of 2015, when he was elected Trustee of the Village of Orland Park. He and his wife Jennifer live in Orland Park with their two sons. Mike’s civic involvement in the Orland Park area spans decades: Past-President and Past-Secretary of the Orland Park Lions Club; Past-President of the Southwest Bar Association; Charter Member of the Orland Park Law Enforcement Organization; Cubmaster and Assistant Scoutmaster for the Cub Scouts and Boy Scouts; and Orland Youth Association coach.
